Fort Hood solider dies in Iraq

SAN ANTONIO — A Fort Hood soldier from Louisiana has died from wounds suffered in Iraq.

Pvt. Mark William Graham, 22, died March 7 at Brooke Army Medical Center from injuries suffered March 2 when an improvised explosive device detonated near his unit while he was on combat patrol in Baghdad.

Graham is from Lafayette, La. He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 5th Calvary Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, at Fort Hood.
